A thermal break interrupts a conductive path between the interior and exterior parts of a metal profile. Insulating a door core alone does not establish that its frame and leaf assembly are thermally broken.

Ask for section drawings showing the separation, and evidence for the exact door assembly: dimensions, glazing or infill, frame, threshold, seals and hardware. A component value is not automatically the whole-door thermal value.

Discuss climate, indoor conditions and condensation risk with the project team. Any thermal performance claim must match the proposed configuration and applicable test evidence. Availability of a suitable Dr.Doors assembly must be confirmed.

Bring these details to your enquiry

  • Thermal-break sections and complete assembly
  • Applicable whole-door test evidence
  • Climate, threshold, seals and condensation review

Sizes, specifications and designs can be customised for your project, wherever you are.
