A pivot door rotates around an offset axis. Its specification must connect the leaf geometry, axis position, clear passage, opening arc and threshold. Check the space behind the pivot as well as the main opening.

Final leaf weight is only one input. Width, axis offset and operating loads also affect system selection. Use the hardware manufacturer’s selection method for the actual assembly; a sheet-weight estimate is not a hinge rating.
